Is it possible to upload a font to your web server and have visitors see your site in that font?

Since using an obscure font can be problematic as visitors may or may not have that font on their own computers. So is it possible to upload the rare font on your web server and have it work on the client's browsers?

If so how can it be done/where to store it?

No.
The fonts available are IN the browsers. If the font you choose is not in the browser's list, the browser will choose a default font.
Only TWO fonts are reasonnably identical for all browsers: time new roman and verdana, and their size is only "resonnably" identical if you define their sizes in your CSS in PIXELS.
If you want a particular font, you can only do it into an image, but, then, the search engines do NOT read the text (invisible to them).
Keep special fonts for your Logo, in mages, and NOTHING else. Bad habit!
