hi drew,
if you are buying this ready made then yes.
the Q6600 goes for around £80-£100 second hand.
ram is around £60 used
8800gt for around £50-£60 used
then extra for mobo, case, psu and vista, so yes its a cheap pc.
(i build my own gaming rigs)
also the Q6600 (if its a go stepping ((has sclar typed on it)) will easily overclock to 3.2 GHz, matching an i5 processor! for blistering gaming performance.
the 8800gt is a good card and will run crysis on medium using a 19" monitor (1280 x 1024 resolution)
but to run it on high or max you will need a better card like a gtx 460.
also make sure the psu is a quality make like a corsair, antec, seasonic etc...
this should have (if its a 550w psu) at least 40 amps on the +12v rail (says it on sticker on side od psu)
if its a cheap generic psu (it might only have 15 amps on the +12v) than it will struggle to run a decent pc and can damage it.
that is a very nice pc for the money.
if store bought, email me the link please, LOL
