Yes, PS1,2 and XBox can be ripped. It's a fairly technical process but your PS or XBox must be modded to use the ripped games. By modded I mean a mod-chip, boot disc or similar.
Your comp wont play them, though. Not enough spare horsepower while dragging Window$ around along with whatever else you have running. Sorry.
Both Sony and M$ are trying to kill mods for their systems because pirated copies are already available on P2P networks like Bittorent and showing up in NewsGroups and elsewhere on the net. Naturally, they want all the money from their games. The fact that some folks are actually backing up their bought games is irrelevant to them. Honestly, though, most are for pirated games.
